The St. Louis Cardinals placed starting pitcher Jack Flaherty on the 10-day injured list with a shoulder injury.
Flaherty recently had a platelet rich plasma injection in his right shoulder and is expected to begin a throwing program at some point soon.
There isn’t a clear timetable for the 26-year-old to return, but he’ll likely need a minor-league rehab stint before returning to the Cardinals rotation.
Flaherty played great in 2021, posting a 9-2 record with a 3.22 ERA and 85 strikeouts across 78.1 innings pitched.
