The Detroit Pistons will keep power forward Blake Griffin sidelined until they find a trade partner for him.
According to NBC, if a trade fails to happen they’ll begin contract buyout negotiations with the 31-year-old.
He’ll be hard to moved, especially since he’s owed $36.6 million for the remainder of this season and $39 million in 2021-22 under his current contract.
Griffin has been awful this season, averaging a career low 12.3 points per game on 36.5% shooting.
At his age, Griffin should have something left in the tank, but at this point he and his contract looked like damaged goods.
