According to Sportico, The San Antonio Spurs are in discussions with private equity firm CVC Capital Partners to sell a minority stake of the team.
Back in June, it was reported that San Antonio was looking sell a minority stake in the franchise, and it looks like they may have found a suitor.
The Spurs are in the top half of NBA team values, worth $2.05 billion.
The majority of the team is owned by Spurs Sports & Entertainment, with Peter John Holt as Chairman and CEO.
However, he doesn’t plan on selling his stakes, but another existing minority owner is.
