The St. Louis Cardinals have acquired five-time All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado from the Colorado Rockies.
Details on who the Rockies will receive are undisclosed for now, but they’ll likely receive a gang of prospects in this trade package.
The MLB and Player’s Union will both require approval before the deal can be finalized.
Rotoworld also noted that Colorado will also be sending significant cash and that Arenado would be deferring money to get it done.
Arenado is in his prime at 29-years-old, and now he’s out of a frustrating situation with the Rockies.
The superstar is a five-time All-Star, four-time Platinum Glove winner, eight-time Gold Glove winner, and four-time Silver Slugger winner.
Arizona are now playoff contenders next season, and rightfully so after grabbing the game’s best third baseman.
