Washington Wizards center Thomas Bryant has been diagnosed with a torn ACL, ending his 2020-21 season.
Bryant suffered the injury on Saturday against the Heat, and it’s bad news for the 2-8 Wizards.
The 23-year-old was off to a good season averaging 14.3 points and 6.1 rebounds and was the defensive anchor for the team.
Robin Lopez is currently the backup center, and he’ll most likely be the starter for the future.
Washington may look to acquire a center before the trade deadline further into the season.
