The San Francisco 49ers have activated tight end George Kittle off of injured reserve and he will suit up Saturday against the Cardinals.
Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed the news on Thursday, but he did mention that Kittle will be on “somewhat of a pitch count.”
San Francisco is already eliminated from playoff contention and Kittle hasn’t played since week right, so it’s strange to see them putting their All-Pro tight end on the field.
The 49ers should just shut Kittle down for the remainder of the year, but apparently the organization won’t proceed with caution with the 27-year-old.
