Shortly after Washington Wizards point guard John Wall requested a trade, the team front office stated that they have no plans to move him.
General Manager Tommy Sheppard stated on Monday that the ball club has no intentions of moving Wall.
“There’s no plans to trade John,” said Sheppard. “Obviously, it’s unfortunate at this time of year… I was with John this morning. I watched him work out.”
Sheppard also said that Wall hasn’t requested a trade, so it’ll be interesting to see how the team moves forward with him.
Wall, now 30-years-old, hasn’t lived up to his massive 4-year, $171 million maximum contract extension he signed with Washington back in 2017.
He hasn’t a full season since 2016, and he also can’t stay healthy with shoulder, leg, and foot injuries.
Wall played just 41 games in 2017-18, 32 games in 2018-19, and missed all of last season with a torn Achilles.
