Although the Philadelphia Eagles took home an ugly win on Sunday Night Football, quarterback Carson Wentz struggled yet again.
Wentz has four total turnovers, two interceptions and two lost fumbles and threw for only 123 yards with an awful rating of 61.2
He also got sacked four times after repeatedly hanging on to the ball for too long and making very poor decisions.
Wentz is leading the league in interceptions with 12, and he’s got the Eagles in second in the league in giveaways with 17.
Although his poor play on the season is continuing, for a baffling reason head coach Doug Pederson refuses to pull him out of the lineup.
Wentz signed a 4-year, $128 million contract with Philly in 2019 that included a $16,367,683 signing bonus and $107,970,683 guaranteed.
So far Wentz has failed to prove that he’s worth the big bucks with very poor quarterback ratings of 62.6 in 2018, 64.8 in 2019, and 49.1 this season.
His completion percentage has also declined each season at 69.6% in 2018, to 63.9% last season, to currently 58.4% this year.
