The Boston Red Sox declined their $6.5 million club option for pitcher Martin Perez.

Perez will instead receive a $500,000 buyout.

The lefty finished with a 4.50 ERA in 62 innings with Boston last season.

The 29-year-old will test the free agency market this offseason and will surely receive a few calls.
