The Tampa Bay Rays have declined starting pitcher Charlie Morton’s $15 million club option for 2021.

General manager Erik Neander said they club would be willing to bring back Morton, but with a lower salary figure.

Morton threw a high 4.74 ERA in 9 games last season with a 2-2 record.

Testing the free agent market may be the route of choice for Morton this offseason.
