Carolina Panthers star running back Christian McCaffrey is not likely to play on Thursday Night Football.

McCaffrey was limited in practice on a short week, and he’s still nursing his ankle injury.

Mike Davis will once again fill in as the work horse back with McCaffrey sidelined.

Fantasy owners will have to hold on just a little bit longer, but McCaffrey is expected to return week nine against Kansas City.
