The Washington Nations have agreed to a contract extension with manager Dave Martinez.

Initially the club had a 2021 option for Martinez, but he’ll now receive a three year deal worth $2.5 million per season.

Martinez helped the Nats to their first World Series victory last year, so the deal is well deserved.

However, Washington have a down 2020 season with a record of 23-34.
