Philadelphia Phillies manager confirmed that starting pitcher Jake Arrieta won’t pitch again for the remainder of the regular season.
Arrieta has a grade one hamstring strain after leaving Tuesday’s start against the Mets.
Though he said he would return for the postseason, it’s unclear whether the Phillies will secure a wild card spot.
Arrieta has a $22.5 million club option for next season, but the club will likely decline that.
