Former quarterback Josh McCown has retired from the National Football League and will work for ESPN as a NFL studio analyst.

Known as an NFL journeyman, McCown threw for a career 17,707 yards and 98 touchdowns.

The 39-year-old played for the Cardinals, Lions, Raiders, Panthers, Bears, Buccaneers, Browns, and Jets.

McCown earned $49,668,000 in NFL contracts throughout his 16 seasons.
