32-year-old running back Jonathan Stewart has retired from the NFL after 11 seasons.
Stewart signed a one-day contract to retire with the Carolina Panthers, which was Stewart’s home for 10 of 11 seasons in the league.
Stewart helped Carolina carry the team to a 12-4 record in 2008.
However, Stewart struggled with injuries throughout the bulk of his career, but he was able to appear in at least 13 games each of his final four seasons in Carolina.
Stewart is finishing his career with the most rushing yards in Panthers history.
The former pro-bowler earned $51,125,506 in NFL contracts throughout his career.
