The Boston Red Sox have inked SS Xander Bogaerts to a 6-year, $120 million contract extension.

Bogaerts is locked in for his $12 million salary in 2019 and will then make $20 million per season over the next 6 years.

There is also an option for 2026 that could bring him another $20 million.

Bogaerts posted a career high .883 OPS with 23 homers and 103 RBI over 136 games in 2018.
