The Detroit Lions have signed 33-year-old wide receiver Danny Amendola to a one-year, $4.5 million contract.
Detroit has been in need of a slot receiver since the club traded WR Golden Tate to the Philadlephia Eagles mid-way through last season.
Amerndola has a total of 391 catches in the slot since he joined the NFL in 2009.
In 11 career NFL seasons, Amendola has earned $26,791,179 in contracts.
