The New York Giants and rookie running back Saquon Barkley have agreed to a 4-year, fully guaranteed rookie contract worth $31.2 million. The deal comes with a $20.8 million signing bonus along with $15 million being paid out immediately.
Barkley will likely turn many heads in his rookie campaign with the Giants, especialy with the help of 14-year veteran and 2x Super Bowl Champion/MVP quarterback Eli Manning. The Giants have what should be a very explosive offense this season with the emergence of wide receiver Sterling Shepard, and the return of fellow wideout Odell Beckham Jr.
The 21-year-old ran for 3,843 yards and 43 career touchdowns with the Penn State Nittany Lions. Barkley won Big Ten Offensive Player of the year in back-to-back seasons in 2016 & 2017.
