NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Keenan Allen is “unlikely” to play in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs.Â
Pelissero added that “there is optimism after tests that his hamstring injury isn’t anything long-term.”
Allen suffered the injury in week one against the Raiders, after he caught four receptions for 66 yards.
The Chargers receiving corps will have to step in in his absence, and tight end Gerald Everett could see more targets as well.
