The Philadelphia Phillies officially signed outfielder Nick Castellanos to a five-year, $100 million contract.
The deal was agreed to Friday night and made official Tuesday evening.
Castellanos will be introduced as the newest member of the Phillies on Wednesday in Clearwater, Florida.
The 30-year-old posted a .939 OPS, and hit 34 homers and 100 RBI in 138 games in 2021 with the Cincinnati Reds.
Adding Castellanos bolsters Philly’s lineup for at least the next five seasons.
