San Diego Padres star shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. suffered a fractured left wrist and could be out for three months.
Padres general manager A.J. Preller said Monday that Tatis could require surgery to repair a fractured left wrist and be sidelined up to three months.
Tatis was involved in a minor motorcycle accident in December and didn’t receive treatment, but the pain began shortly afterwards.
The 23-year-old said his left wrist began to “flare up” about a month ago and that it was “something he could work through.”
Tatis went on and said he hasn’t made a decision about if he’d take surgery or not, but either way he should be sidelined for a lengthy time period.
