New York Knicks All-Star Julius Randle has been fined $50,000 by the NBA due to his ejection from Friday’s game against the Suns.Â
Randle’s fine came as a result of multiple offenses that included initiating the altercation with Suns forward Cameron Johnson, making contact with a game official, and not cooperating with the league’s investigation into the incident.Â
Although he was fined a nice piece of change, last season’s Most Improved Player did not receive a suspension.
Randle is on the final year of his three-year, $62,100,000 contract that he signed with the Knicks in July of 2019.
In August of 2021, the 27-year-old signed a four-year, $117,089,280 contract extension with New York, which begins in the 2022-23 season.
Randle is averaging a double-double this season in points (19.8) and rebounds (10.0) to along with 5.2 assists in 61 games played in 2021-22.
The Knicks next matchup is tonight on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers.
