Tampa Bay Buccaneers unrestricted free agent receiver Chris Godwin hopes to remain with the team.
Godwin spoke with the media on Tuesday, and he stated that “an extension would be ideal.”
“I want to be in Tampa, but I want to get paid too.”
The 25-year-old had 65 receptions last season for 840 yards and seven touchdowns.
Godwin is a key to the Bucs offense, and head coach Bruce Arians wants to retain him as well.
Last season, Godwin was on the final year of his four-year, $3,284,164 rookie contract.
