The Atlanta Falcons cut defensive back Ricardo Allen as they need to clear space to get under the salary cap this offseason.
The team needs to clear a lot of room, and Allen was a casualty along with defensive end Allen Bailey.
Releasing the two will save the team $10.75 million in cap space for the 2021 season.
Allen spent his seven-year career as a member of the Falcons, and the 29-year-old is currently being portrayed as a versatile backup or low-end starter as he enters the free agent market.
He’s made $18,950,870 in contracts since being drafted in 2014 out of Purdue.
