Cleveland Cavaliers center Andre Drummond will no longer play for the team until traded before the March 25 trade deadline.
The team named Jarrett Allen as the starter, who was dealt to the team in the James Harden deal.
Drummond was “rested” Sunday against the Clippers, but now it’s known that the big man will be moved.
The Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, and Dallas Mavericks are reported to be potential trade partners for the 27-year-old.
Drummond is on the final year of his 5-year, $127,171,313 contract where he’s making $28,751,775 this season, so he could be in an open free agent market this offseason.
He’s averaging 17.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 25 games played in 2020-21.
