The Boston Red Sox signed 31-year-old Marwin Gonzalez to a one-year, $3 million contract for the 2021 season.
It’s a good deal for both sides, and Boston can use his services all over the field.
Gonzalez struggled hitting last season with a .211/.286/.320 slash line in 199 plate appearances for Minnesota.
Gonzalez should have bounce back year in a new uniform, and he’ll have to play well if he wants to earn himself a bigger contract at the end of this season.
