21-year-old Formula 1 McLaren driver Lando Norris has tested positive for the coronavirus in Dubai.
Norris recently stated that he lost sense of taste and smell, and his test result ultimately came back positive.
A McLaren team member spoke on Notris:
“McLaren can confirm that Lando Norris tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday in Dubai. He is currently on holiday ahead of a planned training camp and is now self-isolating at his hotel for 14 days.”
Norris will complete his isolation period with much time to spare ahead of the upcoming season where preseason testing will take place in Spain in early March.
However, the season opener could be delayed with coronavirus restrictions in Australia.
