Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis was a full participant in practice on Tuesday, and he could return in the next two weeks.
Porzingis went through right knee surgery when he was forced to leave the Orlando bubble, and this is the first update we’ve gotten since.
Head coach Rick Carlisle was asked about a potential timetable for Porzingis’ return and he said, “Some time in the next two weeks isn’t far-fetched.”
Porzingis spoke with the media:
“I felt good out there, moving around and feeling the contact. I want to get back into the rhythm of playing against contact. The next step is getting right to be able to step on the court and play a game. Physically I’m getting pretty close to where I need to be.”
Porzingis averaged 20.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks last season, his first as a member of the Mavericks.
