Memphis Grizzlies Rookie of the Year Ja Morant has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left ankle sprain, and he’s expected to be out 3-5 weeks.
This is great news for not just Grizzlies fans, but fans across the entire NBA.
The injury appeared much worse when it happened, especially with Morant needed wheelchair assistance to make it back to the locker room.
Memphis will likely rely on Tyus Jones and Dillon Brooks to handle ball handling duties for the next month or so.
Morant, last year’s rookie of the year, was averaging 26.3 points on 54.5% shooting with 6.3 assists per game so far this season.
