The Tampa Bay Rays signed catcher Mike Zunino to a one-year contract pending a physical.

The official terms of the contract have yet to be released.

Zunino struggled at the plate in 2020, hitting a low .147/.238/.360 in 84 plate appearances.

The 29-year-old will likely share starts with another catcher if he continue to post low numbers.
