The Kansas City Royals signed outfielder Michael Taylor to a one-year, $1.75 million contract.

Taylor batted .195/.253/.424 in 99 plate appearances in 2020 with five home runs and 16 RBI.

The 29-year-old is a strong outfielder defensively and has a lot of speed, which makes up for his poor plate performance.

Taylor should see time in the outfield consistently for the Royals this upcoming season.
