According to the Athletic, the Cincinnati Reds are open to moving starting pitcher Sonny Gray.
With his current contract, Gray’s owed $10 million each of the next two seasons with a $12 million club option for 2023.
It makes sense that the Reds would like to move that contract, but it may be hard to move at that high price.
Gray posted a 5-3 record last season with a 3.70 ERA in 56.0 innings pitched.
We’ll see ultimately what the Reds do, especially after losing Cy Young Award winner Trevor Bauer to free agency.
