Bucks, Pacers discussed a deal surrounding Victor Oladipo

USA Today Sports

The Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers were recently discussing a deal around shooting guard Victor Oladipo.

Kevin O’Connor of the ringer said the teams met, but a deal may be hard to come by.

Oladipo still has one year and $21 million left on his current contract before becoming a free agent when the season’s over.

Milwaukee is certainly look to help keep building a roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo that can compete for a championship, in hopes that he doesn’t leave in free agency next year.

It’s likely that Oladipo will want a max deal from a team suitable for him, but he’s still recovering from his ruptured quadriceps tendon injury from 2019.

Oladipo looked rusty last season and he almost opted out of the bubble to heal, so he’ll have to be in prove it mode in 2020-21 if he’s looking for a big payday.
