Rockies shut down star infielder Nolan Arenado

USA Today Sports

The Colorado Rockies have shut down star third baseman Nolan Arenado for the remainder of the 2020 season.

Arenado reportedly was willing to play through an injury if the team made a postseason run, but unfortunately it didn’t come to this.

Nolan has been dealing with nagging soreness in his shoulder this year due to AC joint inflammation.

The injury was clearly affecting the All-Star third baseman, as he posted a career low .253 batting average.
