Patrick Laine has signed a two-year, $13.5 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets.

The deal earns Laine $6 million in 2019-20 and $7.5 million in 2020-21.

According to RotoWorld, the short-term deal makes sense as Laine’s still debateable.

He has the potential to be a top goal scorer, but last season showed different.

Laine ended up with 30 goals last season, and he’s missed nearly all of training camp this season.
