The Orlando Magic picked up Markelle Fultz’s 2020-21 option, guaranteeing him to make over $12 million next season.
Interesting move by Orlando, especially since Fultz hasn’t played a single game with the team.
He’s been out since November with a thoracic outlet syndrome, which causes pain and numbness in the shoulder and neck.
Fultz has played in a total of 33 games since being selected #1 overall in 2017 by the Philadelphia 76ers, where he forgot how to shoot a basketball.
He’s dealt with “shoulder” injuries since being drafted, and it seems it went to his head and got to him mentally.
Fultz still has no timetable for a return.
