The Los Angeles Rams and QB Jared Goff have agreed to a 4-year, $134 million contract extension that includes an NFL record $110 million guaranteed. â£â£â£â£
The Rams lock up their man until the 2024 season.
In two seasons with head coach Sean McVay, Goff has led the team to consecutive division titles, an NFC championship and an Super Bowl appearance.
He’s been selected to two Pro Bowls and is 24-14 as a starter.
Goff has passed for 9,581 yards and 65 touchdowns, with 26 interceptions, and has completed 62.1% of his throws.
It’s a lot of money for a young QB who’s struggled in four playoff appearances with his rating dropping to 73.6, completion percentage at 55, and only two TDs with 2 INTs.
With Carson Wentz getting his mega deal, the trend to pay young QBs keeps going.
