The NFL has suspended Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson six games for violating the performance-enhancing drug policy.

The news was reported by ESPN after Peterson skipped workouts ahead of the draft.

Peterson will be eligible to return in week seven against the New York Giants.

Arizona added Robert Alford and Tremaine Brock before drafting Byron Murphy in the draft.
