Some customers of the 1 on 1 match between Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods will get a refund after finding out the match could be viewed for free.
Comcast announced that it will return its money for customers that paid for the match, because the event was free from Bleacher Report.
“Comcast will proactively issue a $19.99 credit to any Xfinity TV customer who purchased ‘The Match’ pay-per-view event,†the statement by Comcast said. “We hope Turner and Bleacher Report will do the same given that the event was made available by them for free on The Bleacher Report website.â€
AT&T, which provides service for DirecTV and U-Verse, will also grant refunds. Charter Spectrum, Cox Communications and Dish/Sling TV will do the same.
