Detroit rapper Big Sean has called out EA Sports and the NFL over censorship of his Colin Kaepernick lyric in the song “Big Bank” where he is featured by fellow rapper YG.
This is causing quite the uproar, as Kaepernick continues his battles with the NFL.
Big Sean stated via Twitter:
It’s disappointing and appalling @NFL & @EA took @Kaepernick7’s name out of my verse on Big Bank for Madden 19, like it was a curse word. When he's not a curse, he's a gift! Nobody from my team approved any of this.

Kaepernick later thanked Sean:
Much love brother! Thank you for having my back!?? https://t.co/yKz3nBMiPb

YG is also angry at the change as he reported that he was completely unaware of the censorship. It’s yet to be clear if this is a cause from EA, or the NFL who is the game’s producer that has censored Colin Kaepernick’s name.
