Nike’s Jordan brand and Kawhi Leonard will part ways after not agreeing to terms on a new contract. Jordan has decided to let the 27-year-old walk after he turned down a four-year, $22 million contract extension, as Leonard was seeking a bigger shoe deal.
There are many questions surrounding Leonard, as he continues to avoid contact with the media. His social media accounts are virtually extinct, as he’s only had four tweets since creating his Twitter account in June of 2014, and he does not have an Instagram account.
The newly aqcuired Toronto Raptor has made $60,899,944 from contracts in seven seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, and is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2018-19 NBA season.
