The Los Angeles Lakers are interested in signing big-man DeMarcus Cousins to a short-term contract. Cousins suffered an achilles injury that cut his first full season in New Orleans short, but Cousins says he ‘feels great’ and should be ready for training camp.
Cousins has always been a superstar caliber talent, but hasn’t had much opportunity to win games until he was traded to the Pelicans in 2017. He averaged 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.6 blocks in 48 games last season with the Pelicans.
Cousins has earned a total of $80,711,986 from contracts in eight career seasons with the Kings and Pelicans.
