James Harden rejects $103M extension from Houston

USA Today Sports

James Harden has rejected a 2-year, $103 million contract extension offer from the Houston Rockets.

Harden has recently told the Rockets front office that he wants to be dealt to Brooklyn to play alongside Kyrie Irving and former teammate Kevin Durant.

Houston clearly wants to keep Harden long-term, but he can’t see the organization winning a title going in the direction that they are.

Russell Westbrook also wants out of Houston, so this is a sticky situation for the ball club.

Harden has three years and over $132 million left on his current contract with a player option for the 2022 season.

This looks like it could be potentially an Anthony Davis move that he pulled to make his way out of New Orleans.
