According to Adrian Wojnarorski, the Los Angeles Clippers are finalizing a 5-year deal with Tyronn Lue to become the team’s next head coach.

Lue has been the favorite to take over the job since the departure of Doc Rivers.

After the success he had in Cleveland winning an NBA title, the move was right for the Clippers.

Last year Clippers commentator and former NBA champion Chauncey Billups will be Lue’s head assistant reported by The Athletic.

With Lue taking over, it’ll be interesting to see if he pushes the front office to make some free agency moves following the team’s 3-1 series lead crumble in the playoffs.
