Giannis Antetokounmpo wins 2nd straight MVP Award

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has won back-to-back NBA Most Valuable Player Awards.

The Greek Freak beat out Lakers forward LeBron James Rockets guard James Harden for the honors.

Winning puts Antetokounmpo in an elite group of players to win consecutive MVPs, joining Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Moses, Malone, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Tim Duncan, Steve Nash, and Steph Curry.

Giannis also won the Defensive Player of the Year award, and he joins company of Hakeem Olajuwon and Michael Jordan to win both awards in the same season.

Antetokounmpo averaged 29.5 points on 55.3% shooting, 13.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and one steal and block this season.
