The Philadelphia Phillies have called up 2016 number one overall pick Mickey Moniak.

The 22-year-old out of Encinitas, CA could get some looks in the outfield with the team’s injuries.

Moniak hit .252 with a .741 OPS, 11 home runs and 67 RBIs at Double A Reading in 2019.

Philadelphia chose Moniak out of San Diego’s La Costa Canyon High School, and signed him to a contract with a $6.1 million bonus.
