The Houston Texans signed quarterback Deshaun Watson to a 4-year, $160 million contract extension.

The deal includes $111 million in guarantees.

According to Rotoworld, Watson wanted a shorter term deal compared to Chiefs QB Pat Mahomes.

Watson’s new $40 million average makes him the second highest-paid quarterback.

Watson will hit the market again for his age 30 season.
