The Toronto Raptors have agreed to a one-year, $31 million contract extension with point guard Kyle Lowry.

The extra year is added on Lowry’s current deal, which still has one year and $33 million left.

The move will keep the 33-year-old off the free agency market next summer.

Lowry’s agent, Mark Bartelstein spoke with ESPN:

“We are so appreciative of how Masai and Bobby handled every aspect of this negotiation.

Once again, they displayed how they look after their players in a first-class manner, especially someone like Kyle who they recognize has such a legacy with the franchise.”

Lowry has career earnings of $160,035,966 in his 14 career seasons (including 2019-20) with the Grizzlies, Rockets, and Raptors.
