Mavs Receive Kristaps Porzingis in Mega Deal

The New York Knicks have agreed to trade Kristaps Porzingis, Courtney Lee, and Tim Hardaway Jr. to the Dallas Mavericks for Wesley Matthews, Dennis Smith Jr., and DeAndre Jordan.

The deal is a major for both clubs with Dallas receiving a player of Porzingis’ caliber.

The Knicks have previously stated that they did not want to deal Porzingis since the news broke earlier this season that he wasn’t happy in New York.

New York receives two seasoned veterans in Matthews and Jordan, and this could also help in the locker room.

Smith Jr. is a very talented young guard with a high ceiling, as he can get it done on both ends of the floor.

It’s not clear if Porzingis will step on the floor this season, as he continues to be sidelined due to a torn ACL.
