Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer has reported that the Philadelphia 76ers no longer have former first-overall pick Markelle Fultz in the team’s long-term plans.

Fultz has struggled mightily since being drafted by the club in 2017.

He played in just 14 games in his rookie season after being sidelined with a shoulder injury that left him visibly struggling to shoot.

There were earlier rumors from Fultz and his agent that stated that Fultz wanted out of Philly, but both denied the claims.

The situation is sticky for the Sixers, as Fultz value has significantly dropped because his shoulder issue.

Fultz averaged 8.2 points on 41.9% shooting, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 19 games this season before being sidelined.

The 20-year-old signed a 2-year, $15.4 million deal with Philadelphia in 2017, then the team exercised his $9.75 million option for the 2019-2020 season back in October.
